Unlike the standard Bond editions, this model leans heavily into the legacy of the franchise without overindulging in gimmickry — the nods to Bond are thoughtful, not overt.
The standout feature is the caseback, which features a mechanical animation of the iconic Bond “gun barrel” opening sequence — a playful touch made possible by Omega’s use of the moiré effect and a patent-pending mechanism that requires no battery. Up front, the watch remains a full-fledged diver: the wave-pattern dial returns, now in a deep blue aluminium, matched to an anodised aluminium bezel insert with vintage-style “60” marking.
Notably, this watch avoids a date window altogether, allowing the dial to retain perfect symmetry — a design decision often appreciated by collectors and purists. It’s powered by the in-house Master Chronometer Calibre 8806, offering resistance to magnetic fields up to 15,000 gauss and the kind of robustness Omega has come to be known for.
